Olivia Manders

Olivia Manders is a multimedia journalist with an interest in international relations, documentary film making and investigative journalism
She grew up in the Netherlands, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Ede Christian University. Before studying at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, Olivia spent the last three years interning for different Dutch and international media, producing news stories at the CNN Paris Bureau and assisting foreign correspondents in the Middle East
Olivia produced various multimedia projects, including a documentary on a corruption case in the South African media, which was shot in Johannesburg. She is a bilingual French-Dutch speaker and fluent in German. Olivia’s Dutch-French-Spanish background gave her an interest in traveling and reporting on international issues and issues of race, gender and ethnicity.
After obtaining her M.S. from Columbia, she would like to work as a foreign correspondent, covering conflicts in the Middle East and Africa.
