Kiran Moodley
Kiran Moodley was born in London in 1987, to an English mother and a South African father.
He attended a grammar school in north London, and then went up to Cambridge in 2006 to major in history.
He came to the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism straight after graduation, hoping to refine the journalistic skills he had picked up while writing for his student newspaper. Plus, of course, the opportunity to live and study in New York City was an immense incentive. Covering Central Harlem has made him so far appreciate the diversity of the city and see a different part of Manhattan.
His dream would be to become friendly with Stephen Colbert or Jon Stewart.
