The journey begins...

When it comes to going the distance, any number of feats might get you into the Guinness Book of World Records. But not everyone likes being a record-setter. New York City’s Metropolitan Transit Authority, for instance, would probably just as soon give back the prize it got this month from the City’s Straphanger Campaign. It’s called a Trekkie award, and it’s given to the New York City bus route with the longest scheduled running time. That bus serves northern Manhattan.
