Store Owners Fume Over Cig License Hike

cigThe state of New York wants to increase the annual license fee that retailers must pay in order to sell cigarettes. The state has two goals: one, to discourage smoking — and the other, to reduce the state’s budget deficit. The fee won’t be a big burden for large retailers, but some small shop owners are concerned.
