286871094_b51479bfb7_mInwood Hill Park is home to the last natural forest on the island of Manhattan. Much of its 200 acres is densely wooded and wild. Its oldest trees are more than 150 years old.

Recently, however, Inwood Hill Park has also been the scene of a rash of mysterious crimes: crimes against trees. Authorities are taking this seriously. Arborcide is punishable by up to a year in jail and a maximum fine of $15,000.
